We love anything with BMW and M on it but sometimes we struggle to see the point of everything. This limited series BMW M3 Tiger Edition seems to be for the Chinese market, and apart from the hot ‘Joy’ advertising campaign, there’s not much more for it to add to the ’standard’ BMW M3.

The M3 Tiger Edition celebrates 25 years of M models and the Chinese year of the tiger. It has the distinctive Fire Orange Metallic paint job, but this time with black exterior trim, and 19-inch wheels. On the inside we get Novilla leather seats and tiger heads embroidered into the headrests. 250 M3 Tiger Edition models will be produced.

This teaser video of the BMW 1 Series Coupé gives us another glimpse of the pocket rocket that BMW will officially present at the 2010 Paris Motor Show. We get the feeling it will be a busy event! The new 1 Series Coupé is inspired by previous ‘M’ models from BMW, although it is designed to be an accessible model for the company, and addition to that we expect it to be a sexy little number too. The first teaser video of the coupé on the Ascari circuit is after the jump.

Carscoop has jumped the gun and revealed these spy pics of the new BMW 6 Series interior. If you were expecting something funky, or different at the very least, you’ll be disappointed as the most of the interior elements are borrowed from the BMW 5 Series. Still, it’s got all the luxury you could want.

Externally the new 6 Series will have sharper lines and a look similar to the Concept Gran Coupé, but will keep its traditional soft top fabric roof. The engine line-up includes that of the BMW 5 Series with an extra 3.0-litre diesel for the European market. That means we should see the 3.0-litre turbocharged engine and the 4.4-litre V8. Transmission options will depend on the engine and will include either a six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic gearbox.

We should see the coupé and cabriolet models appear in Spring 2011, while the production version Concept Gran Coupé should turn up in 2012 and also be part of the 6 Series line-up. We will be seeing the new BMW 6 Series coupe and cabriolet live at the 2010 Paris Motor Show.

According to reports the new BMW 1 Series will be officially presented at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show. With the 2010 IAA yet to commence, we’ll have to wait a whole year before seeing the new F20 (factory name) 1 Series, to be developed on the rear-wheel-drive platform of the L7 (which will also be used for the 3 Series F30). The new 1 Series will be slightly larger than the current model, with a longer wheelbase and more interior room and should replace the current three and five door versions.

The car should share many features of the new BMW 5 Series and 6 Series and could even go on sale in the US. The three and five-door versions should debut in North America along with the Coupé and Cabrio. The new 1 Series range should also have a Limousine four-door sedan version, and a Gran Turismo model will probably be replaced in favour of a Touring model instead.

The reports from Spain also indicate that we could get a new engine range with turbo-charged three and four cylinder units. The new generation would be available with a three-cylinder 1.2i Turbo available in 75 or 184 hp, while a 1.5d Turbo diesel option would appear in either 95 or 177 hp versions. A top-of-the-range would possibly be a four-cylinder 2.0i turbo with 204 or 238 hp.

Rumours that BMW could be developing a smaller BMW X4 model intended to represent a baby X6 are gaining momentum on BMW Blog with postings from a “BMW insider”. The rumour of the expanding X range to include a downsized X6 comes along with other models under consideration. The X4 would be an entirely new model with the same coupé-SUV design of the X6 and much of the platform and engine range of the BMW X3. This is an example of the X6 success and how BMW plans to make the most of it.

The rumours of developments to the X model line-up include other models reportedly being considered: X3 M and an X3 35iS. The latter would be a model sharing the same engine as the BMW Z4 35iS: a straight-six twin turbo with 335 hp and 500 Nm of torque. Rather than replacing a possible X3 M, it would appear alongside the performance variant which would use the same powerplant as the upcoming 1M.

A near production version of the BMW Megacity vehicle will be prepared for show at the 2012 London Olympics. If they wanted some publicity for their new electric car, what better way to get it than at one of the world’s biggest events? The Megacity will be an electric citycar model which should go on sale in 2013.

The idea for BMW in presenting it at the London Olympics is that it will prove that BMW is a market leader in electric cars. It’s a line that will probably work with most punters and we have no doubt that BMW will produce a very nice electric car – but so far it’s a bit behind in the game compared to some other manufacturers (Nissan and Renault to name two).

The BMW Megacity should be a rear-wheel-drive car with a 100 kW motor powered by batteries. BMW is planning a carbon fibre cell to keep weight down, and it should have some storage/boot space despite its citycar dimensions. We can’t wait to see it and are expecting a fancy but appropriately German launch around Olympic time in 2012 – it will be marketed under a new sub-brand so perhaps BMW will have a surprise new look marketing campaign for us.

The new BMW X3 will also get an X3 M Sport package as seen in the pic above. It takes on the classic M Sport features we’re familiar with: new front and rear bumpers, 19-inch, five-spoke alloy wheels and the ‘M’ logo which appears in the interior. The M Sport is fitted with a sports suspension with stiffer dampers and variable sports steering.

Where you’ll notice the difference though, is the ‘M’ world interior. The logo we mentioned about features on the M sports steering wheel, gear knob and M sport paddles are thrown in too. Sports seats, ‘pearlpoint’ leather upholstery and an anthracite roof liner complete the package.

Here are the first videos of the new BMW X3, with an infotainment video after the jump. While the new X3 has bulked up compared to the previous model, it has shades of green to it this time around with new start&stop technology which BMW says makes it the most environmental SUV around. At launch date the BMW has two engines: the two-litre diesel with 184 hp and the three-litre TwinPowerTurbo with 306 hp. Those engines will be followed at a later date by a three-litre diesel with 245 hp and a three-litre aspirated fuel engine with 240 hp.
